The ability to develop strong, long-lasting relationships is a key to success in public accounting. Even in a healthy business economy where new clients are plentiful, it pays off to sharpen your skills on both attracting and qualifying potential new business. And as business cycles inevitably turn, the importance of having strong business relationships becomes even more critical.
This workshop will focus on sharpening your skills on both attracting new business and qualifying that business versus the portrait of your ideal client. We will discuss and demonstrate how to have productive networking conversations that go past simply “meeting people,” and also show how to ensure those networking interactions turn into fruitful business relationships. In this workshop, we will cover
- qualifying potential new business
- mutually beneficial networking conversations
- making the most of a networking event
- avoiding the trap of free advice
Learning Objective(s): Participants will develop an understanding of the above material as well as how to apply the principals discussed in the class to improve business relationships and increase business.
Prerequisites: The method of presentation is group-live instruction and the program level is basic. There are no prerequisites for this course nor is there any advanced preparation required.
