Forensic Investigations: Planning, Documentation, & Working with Limited Data

In a suspected theft or fraud situation, your ability to take care of your client’s needs depends on your knowledge of how to handle the investigative process, as well as how to work with frequently incomplete data.  How can you identify exactly what happened when by nature the data you need was never meant to be uncovered?  In this course, you will learn how to work with what you have in the form of data, use it in the investigation, and create the reports your client would need to pursue the matter with the authorities.

Topics to be covered include:

  • An overview of the investigative process
  • How to turn any story into a data-driven case plan
  • How to identify data & documentation you will need
  • How to work through incomplete data issues
  • Case study: A guided opportunity to apply what you learned on a real financial institution fraud

Dates:  2 part course on both May 18th and May 19th

Time:  8:30am – 10:30am on Zoom
